Dollhouse

Today is the day that I finally finished constructing my dollhouse.
It took over a month and lots of painting, gluing, and patience. Lots of patience.

This was my anniversary gift from my husband. I have always dreamed of building a dollhouse and I am so happy to have finally completed it.

Without further ado..

Oh how I love it!!
This is a kit bought at Hobby Lobby {use a coupon!}. It comes in many pieces.
I used scrapbook paper and Mod Podge as wallpaper since I had trouble finding patterns I liked.
This was truly a labor of love, and if you have the time I would recommend building one. But after putting in so much work, I can understand why they charge another $100 for it to come pre-built!

I can't wait to look at furniture.
Am I the only one obsessed with dollhouses out there?

    1. Play with it of course! We have lots of nieces + nephews coming to visit so that should be exciting. And one day our little ones will play with it, too. As for me, I love looking at it and imagining what miniature things I can make.

  13. No, you are definitely not the only one obsessed with dollhouses. I have made several, but have not really blogged about them yet. They were all before I became a mother. Now I'm waiting until my little one is a bit older and will actually let me work without interruptions to finish them. However there is a great dollhouse forum if you are really obsessed: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?act=idx. Enjoy!! You did a beautiful job!

  19. I built one for my daughter a few years ago. You are so right...it is a labor of love. The first day my daughter was very into the project and helped with the main building. Each day she lost interest a bit more...and I gained more and more interest until I was totally obsessed with finishing it. I love all of your colors. Beautiful. I'd love for you to come and link up to my party with this post. The party opens at 8pm EST tonight. Hope to see you there.
